Located in Vienna’s Favoriten district, CAPE 10 is built around bringing people together, health and social support. Across approximately 5,000 m², it combines healthcare and social services with education and community spaces. Its architecture is based on a design by Wolf D. Prix and the Coop Himmelb(l)au team.
We supplied a PlantBox living wall for this space. This modular vertical garden system brings plants directly into the interior, even where there is no room for conventional planting. Greenery becomes an integral part of the space, improving the microclimate and acoustics while transforming the atmosphere—just what a building dedicated to community and health needs.
Here, PlantBox is supported by a LESA interior partition made of wood and glass. The partition opens up the space, preserves daylight and sightlines, and provides a solid framework for the living wall. Together, wood, glass and plants create a natural transition between the bistro and the building’s community spaces.
The result is a wall that both divides and brings life to the space. It shows that living walls and interior partitions can be designed together, with greenery integrated directly into the structure.
